Matthias Rillig is leading soil professor, working at Institut für Biologie in Freie Universität Berlin.

Merve Tunali is a post-doctoral researcher currently working in Freie Universität Berlin funded by DAAD.

She finished her PhD at Institute of Environmental Sciences at Bogazici University, Istanbul. Her research interests cover microplastics, plants, as well as life cycle assessment and environmental sustainability.
